The exterior adopts a muscular stance and refined proportions, heavily inspired by the Q5. A wide illuminated singleframe grille with split daytime-running lights gives the Q3 a commanding presence, while flush door handles and a light bar at the rear enhance its modern, aerodynamic silhouette. Beneath the skin lies Volkswagen’s proven MQB platform (Audi A3, Volkswagen Golf), offering both front-wheel and all-wheel-drive configurations for petrol models, while diesel and PHEV variants remain front-drive.
Stepping inside the Q3 reveals an all-new driver-focused cabin featuring a steering-column-mounted control block that replaces traditional stalks. This compact unit handles gear selection, lights, wipers, and indicators, freeing space on the centre console for cup holders and a wireless charging pad. A 12.8-inch central MMI touchscreen integrates seamlessly with an 11.9-inch digital instrument display, creating a clean, tech-forward environment enhanced by premium lighting and eco-conscious materials.
The new Q3 offers a comprehensive engine lineup: mild-hybrid petrol units, a 150 hp diesel and two spirited all-wheel-drive petrol producing 204 hp and 265 hp. The standout is the Q3 SUV e-hybrid (45 TFSI e) which integrates a 1.5-litre petrol hanging with a 25.7 kWh battery and electric motor, delivering 268 hp and up to 74 miles of electric only range, double the previous generations capability, the hybrid can recharge from 10% to 80% in under 30 minutes.
Despite its sleek design, the Q3 keeps practicality at its core. The new transmission layout frees up space for wireless charging and dual cup holders, while the boot offers 488 litres of cargo capacity, expanding to 1,386 litres with the rear seat folded. Passengers benefit from advanced suspension settings that balance sporty dynamics with everyday comfort, and professional-grade driver assistance features like adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, and emergency assist ensure confidence on long journeys.
